Charles F Henton

Charles Ford Henton, 79, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 in his beloved home in Walbridge which he built with his adored wife in 1973. Born January 12, 1943 to Lyle and Elizabeth (Adkins) Henton, he was a 1961 graduate of Lake High School. On July 22, 1967, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Ann (Bockbrader) Henton who has preceded him in death. Chuck was a member of the Ohio National Guard.  He spent 41 years working for GM Powertrain as a pipe fitter.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church, Chuck was active in various roles over the years.  He loved his Ohio State football and you could find him each fall cheering (or yelling) in front of the game each weekend.  He spent vacations traveling and making memories with his family, be it at the beach in California, cruising the Baltic or catching a baseball game in Cleveland.  He adored his grandchildren, and took great pride in watching them do the things they loved.

Left to cherish his memory are children Glen (Lori) Henton, Andrew (Elizabeth) Henton, and Heather (Jeremy) Alden; grandchildren Lyle, Lane, Ella and Andrew Henton, Alex, Julia, Hailey and Tate Alden; great granddaughter Eliana Howell; sister-in-law Mary Ellen Klaege, and brothers-in-law Howard (Kate) Bockbrader and Rollie (Tracy) Bockbrader.  The family would like to acknowledge and thank the close network of family and friends who cared for and supported Chuck in recent years, bringing him much happiness.

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, OH from 2pm to 6pm. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church, 26535 Pemberville Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551. Burial will be following the service at Lake Township Cemetery.
