Charles "Chuck" Scott Davis

Toledo

Charles “Chuck” Scott Davis was born on August 22, 1954 in Gallipolis, OH. He graduated from Bryan High School in 1974. Chuck earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo, a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling from Bowling Green State University and was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1983.

Chuck was retired from the Lucas County Department of Job and Family Services. He was an active member of the Sierra Club and did volunteer work at the Toledo Humane Society. Chuck was a prolific writer and published several articles in the Sierra Club Newsletter.

Chuck enjoyed walking his beloved dog, Buckee, as well as hiking, bicycling and kayaking. He has hiked in many of the state and national parks and mountains, including the Sierras with his brother, David.

Chuck is survived by his sister, Karen (Davis) Bleeks; nephew, Carl Bleeks; and nieces, Abbie (Bleeks) Rohrs and Amanda (Davis) Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Betty (Campbell) Davis; brother, David Davis; and nephew, Garret Davis.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Lamb Center at Side Cut Metro Park, 1025 W. River Road, Maumee, OH 43537, on Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 pm.
