Carrine P Davis

Carrine Corky Davis, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Sunset House. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 11, 1926 to William and Phyllis Swapp. Corky was employed with Chrysler- Jeep in the office for 37 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Our Organ Club and played the organ at the former Westgate Dinner Theater. She and her late husband, Bob enjoyed volunteering at Toledo Zoo for many years. Corky was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Phyllis Swapp, her husband, Robert Davis and sister-in-law, MaryAnn Matthews. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Walter Matthews, niece, Susan (Robert) Vohnout, great nieces, Erika (Benjamin) Thayer and Kathryn (Michael) McGuirk, God-daughter, Kathleen (Terrence) Pollauf and their children, Heather and Stephen and Corkys many cousins, Davis, Stoeplers, and Imres families. Visitation for Corky will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Thursday, January, 12 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will follow on Friday at 10:00 am in St Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St Clement Church, the Sunset house or to Ashanti Hospice.
