Carolyn Jean Elekonich

Carolyn (Carol) Jean Elekonich, 64, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Friday, January 27, 2023. She was born to Edward and Suzanne Davidson on July 3, 1958.

She married the love of her life, Ricky, on November 18, 1977. Carol worked for Washington Local Schools as a Cafeteria Manager until 2017. Her passion was her family. She loved to host gatherings and share stories and a good laugh. She was a loving, wife, mother, and grandma.

Carol was preceded in death by both of her parents, husband Ricky, and beloved grandson, Brody. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Nicole Daly, Sara (Paul) Bersticker, and Lee Elekonich, grandchildren; Brock, Elizabeth, and Anna, as well as her siblings, Kathy (Harold) Workman, Marty (Judy) Davidson, Mike Davidson and Mary Davidson.

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.

Think how she must be wishing that we could know today

How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.

And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched.

For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.

Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home on 7438 Airport Highway in Holland Ohio on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 5 – 7:30 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 7:30PM.
