Carole Helminiak

Carole Ann Helminiak, 82, of Erie, MI, passed away peacefully Friday, October 12, 2018. The daughter of Gilbert and Irene (Nelson) Bray, was born August 20, 1936 in Toledo, OH. Carole married her husband of 55 years, Joseph Helminiak in June of 1955. She worked as a bus driver for Mason Consolidated Transportation, retiring after 20 dedicated years. Carole was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to everyone she met. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, this is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. She will be remembered as the heart of her family that kept everyone centered.Carole will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her for her compassion and kindness. She is survived by her children, Kathryn (Dean) Bondy; Richard (Cindy) and Joseph Helminiak; grandchildren, Shelby, Savana, Stefany Helminiak; Jeremy, Willis, Brandon, Dimitri Ward, and Derek Helminiak; 9 great-grandchildren. To celebrate the life of this amazing woman, a private memorial will be held for family and friends.
