Carole Anne Greenwood-Hockenberry aged 71, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on November 1, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan to her beloved parents, Anne and Jack Greenwood. She was a proud resident of Attica, Ohio but grew up in Pontiac, Michigan before spending most of her adulthood in Sevierville, Tennessee.Carole was an amazing painter and craft artist who cherished her time in the Glades craft community of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She loved to garden flowers and work vegetables with her mother. Her passion for her Solvenian heritage was evident in the many years she spent exploring her genealogy. Carole had a winning spirit no matter if it was in her battle with cancer, a night of bingo with her friends, or a family game of cards or cribbage. All beautiful traits that can be seen in her children and grandchildren.Carole is proceeded in death by her father, Jack Greenwood, her mother, Anne Greenwood, and her best friend and forever kitty, Gracie. Carole is survived by her children, Frank (Heather) Kinnison, Denver (Elaine) Kinnison and Brandy (Phyllis) Tonkin, grandchildren Anna, Jenna, Paul, Genevieve, Josephine, Peytan, Tristen, Amanda, great grandson Ruben Levi, sister, Lori Powell (Lisa and Tony) and cherished friend, Jeremy Buzon.Our family would like to express extreme gratitude to the staff of St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, her doctors, nurses advocates. To the people of Attica, Ohio (Elizabeth McCullough) you were so loved by our mother and we thank you for all the support you have shown her.In Lieu of flowers, a donation to a cancer or mental health organization is requested by the family. A spreading of her ashes will be held at a future date.Do not judge. You dont know what storm Ive asked her to walk through. She held up the sky, while the pain poured down like rain -God
