Carol Szczecinski

Carol Szczecinski, 83, of Walbridge, Ohio formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, peacefully in her sleep. She was born May 13th, 1938, she always loved being a “Friday the 13th Baby.” Carol held several positions in her lifetime including 10 years as a pharmacy technician at Union Prescription Center, and seven years at Meijer in Oregon, Oh. Carol graduated Central Catholic High School in 1955 and earned a degree as a Medical Assistant at Davis College in 1988. She had a deep love for her pets, especially her rottweiler, Tasha, and enjoyed reading, cooking and playing Words with Friends online. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen (Krasinski) Wozniak; and her father, Raymond Wozniak. Carol is survived by her children, Laurie (John) Flowers of Toledo, OH, Gary (Teresa) Keeler of Monroe, MI, Jeff Keeler of Northwood, OH, and Scott (Cynthia) Szczecinski of Genoa, OH. She also leaves behind grandchildren, Greg Gamble of Panama City Beach, FL, Ken (Leslie) Gamble of Lambertville, MI, Casey (Justin) Elick of Columbus, OH, Kyle Keeler of Dayton, OH, Garrett (Megan) Keeler of Scottsdale, AZ, Tia (Roger) Brogan of Royal Oak, MI, and Amanda Szczecinski of Genoa, OH; and great grandchildren, Madison Andra, Christian Gamble, Jeffrey and Joey Elick and was very happily looking forward to the birth of her great granddaughter, soon to be daughter of Tia and Roger Brogan, Emersyn Sky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Walker Funeral Home-Walbridge Chapel, 701 N. Main St, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St, Walbridge, OH on Thursday, July 1st at 10:00 AM. Carol’s final resting place will be at Lake Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions are being accepted for funeral expenses via the family.
