Carol Ann Killy

Carol Ann Killy, age 88, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away in the care of her family and Heartland Hospice at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, Ohio, on Monday, February 5, 2024. Carol was born on December 14, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio. She was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo, Ohio. Carol married Glennon Killy on October 12, 1968, in Toledo, Ohio, and together they raised their family.

Carol stayed busy throughout her life with her nannying duties. She and Glenn were affectionately known as “Nanny and Glenny” to kids she helped take care of. Carol was a natural nurturer, and she took pleasure in making sure that others were okay. She took everyone’s pain away. Carol enjoyed spending quality time with her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved to go out to eat and go camping with her family, specifically to places like Big Sandy in Swanton, Ohio and Alpena, Michigan. Carol loved Alpena so much that she took rocks from there to decorate her yard at home. She also enjoyed thrift shopping and finding bargains wherever she went.

Carol is survived by her children, Terry (Cindy) McIlvain, Tammy (Dennis) Lybarger, Dawn McIlvain, and Dustin Killy, sister, Bonnie Hughes, grandchildren, David (Krystal), Stacy, Ethan (Bri), Bailey, Jillian, Karry, Jonathan, Gynette, Hunter, Logan, and Toryn, great-grandchildren, Michael, Derrik, Brandon, Harmony, Naomie, Willow, Miles, Mia, Arlo, Addison, Levi, Kai, and Raelynn, and feline companion, Harry. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cheryl Chandler, and several brothers and sisters.

Friends and family will be received from 11:00am-2:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home – Walbridge, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home following visitation at 2:00pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Lake Township Cemetery.
