While living in Pennsylvania, she enlisted in the US Navy Reserve in 1979 and attended Naval Justice School studying Military Law. Even after retiring from full time employment she would work part-time for the US Census Bureau and Board of Elections. She was just most recently working at the polls for early voting in the May primary elections. Beverly was an avid reader and strong advocate for animals. Aside from adopting and caring for her own pets, she spent many years as a volunteer and foster for kittens and cats until they could be placed into their forever homes. To all that knew her, she may have been short in stature but she was a feisty and fiercely independent woman. She was preceded in death by her husband Bryan J Wilkerson (1990) of Erie, MI. She is survived by her son Scott OLeary, beloved sister and best friend Suzanna Slator and brothers Thomas and Douglas Osborne. She passed on her love of cats to her grand-daughters Amanda and Sarah OLeary. She enjoyed spending time with her great-daughters as well and watching them grow up. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Per Bevs final wishes, a private family service will be followed by cremation.
