Beverly B. Burgin

January 19, 1940 — February 19, 2022

Beverly Burgin, age 82, passed away on February 19, 2022 at Wolf Creek in Holland, Ohio surrounded by her loving family.

Bev was born on January 19, 1940 to David and Berniece Taube.  Bev was the oldest of five children.  She attended Holland High School where she was (as Mick would say), the best and best looking” majorette throughout high school.  Bev always had a love of learning and reading.  After raising her large family, she continued her education at Owens Community College.

Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Richard Mick” Burgin, with whom she enjoyed 63 years of love, laughs, and adventures.

Bev was a very talented seamstress.  She used her talent to embroider varsity jackets and bowling shirts (among many other things) for over 16 years.  She grew her business throughout Northwest Ohio and was sought out by many to create the look they wanted.  Bev also enjoyed reading, bowling, crocheting, vintage car shows, and going to Curves.  While sewing was Bev s passion, she also worked at Baldoff Bakery, Champion Spark Plug, and Walker EMS, before moving to Florida and working for Tampa Physicians as a Medical Billing Specialist.

Bev was an incredible, soft spoken, kind, and loving lady who never had a mean word to say about anyone.  As her grandkids would say, Grandma is like a warm blanket of love and calm!”  Bev s whole world revolved around her kids and grandkids.  She never missed an activity her kids were in. She was their biggest cheerleader. Boujee Bev ” was the BEST Mama in the world.  She built her kids up to be confident, kind, loving, strong, and smart.  She instilled the importance of family, hard work and being present.  She taught them to know their self-worth.  She always said, Stand tall, head up, shoulders back and do not take any crap” from anyone...BUT BE NICE!!”

Bev is preceded by her husband, Richard (Mick) Burgin; her parents David and Berniece Taube; and her sisters, Diana Denker and Pamala Madelinski.  Bev is survived by her 5 children: Richard (Cindy) Burgin; Rox (Dawn) Burgin; Ronda (Bill) Roback; Rory (Crissy) Burgin; Renee (Kevin) Bowyer; 14 grandchildren including Ashley Sheehan; Meghan Baldwin; Chelsea Burgin; Rox and Dustin Burgin; Paige Gerdeman; Brogan Roback; Ian and Elliot Burgin; Brandon Burgin; Rory and Devin Stedman; Alexa Brodbeck; and Payton Bowyer.  Bev is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; her brothers David (Sally) and Terry (Anne) Taube.

A special shoutout to Rollie Denker, Jr for being an awesome brother-in-law to Bev and a loving family member who was an incredible support to our family!!

The family will be holding a private graveside service for Bev.  This summer, they are planning a family memorial for both Mick and Bev.

In memory of Mom, we would love for you all to go to McDonald s and order a Big Mac Meal and toast a fry to Bev.  Even when she didn t feel like eating, she could manage to have her Big Mac and Fries!
