Barbara Thomas

Barbara Lou Thomas of Toledo, Ohio formerly of Reese, Michigan was welcomed home on Friday, May 3, 2019 at the age of 65. Barb was born on January 24th 1954 to the late Herb and Ida (Spiekerman) Stockmeyer. Barb grew up in Reese and graduated from Reese High School in 1972 followed by Secretarial classes. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper from 1973 on. Barbara met Carl Gaunt in 1975 they were married in 1976 and had two children together before their divorce in 1988. Barb remarried to her late husband Larry Thomas in 1990. He preceded her in death in 2006. Barb is Survived by her two children Kevin and Carla and two of her three step children Larry Jr and Tracy, her brother Bruce twin sister Beth and sister Kay. Barb had three grandchildren, six step grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Barb was a loving Grandmother, Mother, Sister and Friends with most anyone who met her. Barb was an active member of the church. Barb enjoyed crochet and crafts, reading, watching HGTV and Food Network. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and grandchildren. Friends will be received at St. Petri Evangelical Lutheran Church, Toledo on Friday starting at 11am until the time of Services at 1 PM.
