Barbara Ann Roemelen

Barbara Ann Roemelen, 90, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, Ohio.

Born on June 11, 1936, in Paulding County, Ohio, Barbara was the daughter of John D. and LaRena (McAllister) Scarbrough. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home filled with kindness, laughter, and cherished traditions.

Barbara found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved working puzzles, completing crossword puzzles, and indulging her sweet tooth, especially when it came to Thin Mints. Her gentle spirit, caring nature, and devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Roemelen; her daughter, Kathy Roemelen; and her sister, Karen Egnor. She is survived by her loving children, Chris (Carol) Roemelen, Amy (Carl) Christman, and Leigh Ann (Don) Bryan; grandchildren, Kelly, Michael, Jamie, Ashley, Brittany, Sarah, and Lindsay; many treasured great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marsha Albertson. She also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 10, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Perrysburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Sunrise Cremations and Funerals has been entrusted will all funeral arrangments.
