Barbara J Burgoon

Barbara Jean Burgoon, 86, went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2026, surrounded by her family. Barbara was born on September 8, 1939, to Lloyd and Frances Bennett. Barbara grew up and raised her family in West Toledo. Barbara was a successful realtor in Northwest Ohio for many years, specializing in mobile home sales. She enjoyed her walks in the local metro parks, collecting postage stamps and paper dolls. She loved spending time with her family, which included traveling to Columbus, Chicago, Indianapolis, Florida, and Tennessee for short trips and longer-term visits. During these visits she always left a very positive lasting impression on the family friends who she met. Her favorite color was purple because she said that it made her feel “royal”. Barbara was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord. For many years she was very active in her Church and she never missed an opportunity to share the Lord’s message of love.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lawrence Bartolet and Donald Burgoon; her daughter, Vicky Bartolet and her brother, Richard Bennett. She is survived by her sister, Charlene (Don) Leedom; and her three children, Kathy (Harold) Hanley, Beth (Dan) Krupp and Daniel (Tonya) Bartolet; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the Ray Neville Chapel at Sunrise Cremations and Funerals, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland Ohio 43258. The family will be receiving visitors from 9:00 AM -11:00 AM followed by a funeral Service at 11:00AM. The burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
