Arlene Coberley

Arlene J. Coberley, age 82, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was born in Toledo on January 12, 1934 to Casper and Alice Katafiasz. She was employed as an inspector with General Motors for many years. Arlene loved crocheting and crafts along with playing bingo and her real love was going to the casino. She was a member of Eastern Star and past president of DEMOLAY Mothers Club. Arlene enjoyed 23 winters in Florida with her husband, Leon. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leon K. Coberley, daughter, Jackie Anderson, granddaughter, Jennifer, great grandson, Melvin Leo and siblings, Patricia Czerniak and Richard Katafiasz. Arlene is survived by her devoted children, Colleen Hall of Toledo, Brenda (Scott) Mueller of Naples, Florida and Leon N. (Debra) Coberley of Oregon, Ohio. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and brother, Gerald (Maxine) Katafiasz of Holland, Ohio. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with Eastern Star Service beginning at 7:00 pm at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (419-473-1301). Visitation will continue on Wednesday at 9:00 am until time of services at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
