Anna Griffith

Anna Mae Griffith (Bourquin) passed away June 28, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest, Ohio.  Anna was born June 25, 1934 to Alfred and Beatrice Bourquin.  Anna was a beloved teacher for more than 30 years at Woodville and Lake Local School systems.  She continued with her love of teaching at Owens Community College after retirement from Lake.  Her passion for teaching was extended to two of her sons and two of her granddaughters.

Anna was an avid reader, loved putting together jigsaw puzzles, and playing Words with Friends with friends and family.  Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and family get-togethers.

Anna is survived by her brother Richard Bourquin, sister-in-law Ethel (William Hughes); and four sons Jeffrey (Tina), David (Linda), Donald (Jan), and James Junior.  She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Megan Dunn (former husband, Zach), Nicholas Griffith (Katelyn Okenka), Daniel Griffith (Candace), Lisa Donald (Brody), John Griffith; Jacob Griffith, and Amelia Schultz (Alex).  She was a beloved Great-Grandmother to Gemma and Evie Dunn; Jones Griffith; Lyla and Logan Griffith; Lexi and Brody Donald, Vivian and Baby Boy Shultz.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, brothers Lawrence Bourquin (Alice) and Robert Bourquin, brothers-in-law Donald Griffith (Mary), Jesse Griffith, and Ned Griffith; and sisters-in law Virginia Robertson (Harold) and Dorothy Robertson.

The family would like the thank the ICU staff members at Bay Park Promedica Hospital and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for her care.

Friends will be received at Witzler Shank Walker Funeral Home, 701 North Main St, Walbridge, Ohio on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 2:00 PM-8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday, July 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
