Anna Gaborik

Anna Marie Gaborik, loving mother, compassionate nurse, and beauty of many talents, passed away December 27, 2021, at her home in Toledo, Ohio. She was 64 years old. Ann was born Anna Marie Gillingham in 1957 in Sandusky, Ohio to parents Robert and June Gillingham. She was the fifth of eight children. She had many fond memories growing up on Lake Erie. Her family moved to Florida in time for her senior year in high school. She was married in 1975 and had her two children. After discovering she was able to clean up after her children, she decided that she would be able to handle nursing. She became an LPN and later after her divorce she became an RN, BSN. She learned how to bake wedding cakes and she was a talented seamstress. She was asked to make the cakes, dresses, and decorations for many of the weddings in her extended family. Ann is remembered by her son Patrick Gaborik and son-in-law Ryan Naughtin, her daughter Carol-Lina (Gaborik) Naughtin, a nephew and niece she considered as her children, Daniel W. Gillingham and Alicia Shield, her three grandchildren Dylan Gaborik, Ethan Gaborik, and Marnie Ann Naughtin, one remaining sister Lora Karr, three remaining brothers: Christopher Gillingham, Daniel D. Gillingham, and William Gillingham; and her cat Lilly. She will be missed by all who relied on her listening ear, birthday reminders, baking and sewing lessons, monetary help and her comforting pep talks.
