Andrew James Minnich

Andrew James Minnich (57), of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on February 13th, 2023. Andy was born to Gerald and Judith Minnich on April 8th, 1965 in Toledo, Ohio. He was a talented hockey player and played for Northview High School and the University of Toledo. He grew up playing golf at Highland Meadows Golf Club, where he enjoyed entertaining friends. Andy loved spending his free time vacationing with his family, working out at the gym, and being on the water.He was a Christian man and attended Rock City Church in Hilliard, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Toledo in 1988 with a degree in criminal justice and years later completed his Masters in Business Administration at Ashland University. His career began at the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas where he worked as a pre-trial officer for 7 years. He then broke into the world of sales at BFI for a short time before starting with Dana Corporation, which was ultimately bought out by Eaton Corporation where he worked for 24 years as National Sales Manager, Retail Aftermarket, Area Sales Manager, and Sales Manager, Program Distribution. In 2021 Andy started a new role as Hydraulic and Industrial Rubber Products Manager at Kuriyama of America. Above all, he most valued his role as father and spent 28 years actively involved in raising, loving, and supporting his 3 children.Andy is survived by the loves of his life Martha, Samantha (Trey), Garrett, and Drew. He is also survived by his mother Judith, brothers Steve (Kathy) and Brian (Melissa), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Andy was predeceased by his father Gerald.Andys family will host a funeral service on Friday, February 24th, 2023 from 12 noon - 2 pm at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home in Toledo, Ohio.
