Alva Jack Manrow, Jr.

Alva 'Jack' Manrow Jr. age 81, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Ebeid Hospice. He was born on April 16, 1928 to Alva and Mary Manrow. Alva was a past member of Napoleon Throttle Twisters and Dana Fire Department. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and fixing lawnmowers. He was employed as a foreman with Dana Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Mary Manrow, wife, Eleanor Manrow, siblings, Dale Manrow, Marian Peggy Hill and Quentin Manrow. Alva is survived by his loving children, Virginia (Jerry) Keller, Jay (Connie) Manrow, Allen (Paula) Manrow, and John (Kathy) Manrow, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother, Jerry Manrow, and sister-in-law, Helen Babe Manrow.Visitation for Alva will be at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home, 3219 Tremainsville Rd (at Alexis) 419-473-1301 on Thursday, January 7, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm with funeral services at 11:00 am on Friday.Memorial contributions may be given to Ebeid Hospice or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
