Aaron Douglas Ferguson

Aaron Douglas “A-Rod” Ferguson, age 29, of Holland, died September 12, 2020. He was born June 21, 1991 in Toledo and graduated from Springfield High School in 2009. Aaron was a natural leader and athlete and served as the Captain of the Blue Devil wrestling team. He remained active with the program after graduation and was well known for his commitment to the sport. Aaron also loved music and spending time with his family. Family always came first and he will be remembered for his sense of humor and for his respectful, helpful and giving nature. Aaron saw the good in others, defended the weak, downtrodden and poor and was willing to offer the shirt off of his back for someone in need. He was truly a “stand up guy” and will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched. Surviving are his loving parents Scott and Laurie Ferguson who will forever carry him in their hearts; daughter, Meleah, and her mother, Melisha; grandfather, Bruce Ferguson; siblings, Nicole, Heidi, Mark (Tiffany), Scott Jr.(Kara), Bryant, Leandra, D’Airris and Ruben; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will forever miss his smile and the humor, love, and joy he brought to their lives each and every day that they had with him. He was preceded in death by grandparents Lawrence Omlor, Paul and Linda Braatz, and Judith Guy; and one of his closest friends who has sadly missed, Steve Jagodzinski. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 and conclude with services at 1:00 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, Holland-Springfield Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43528. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville. Due to the State of Ohio Mandate, masks and social distancing will be required.
